Samdech Techo Hun Sen Speaks Highly Of Vietnamese Public Security Minister’s Visit To Cambodia

Phnom Penh, January 23, 2024 --

The visit to Cambodia by H.E. To Lam, Minister of Public Security of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam will contribute to further strengthening the relationship between the ruling parties and the peoples of the two countries.

The remarks were made by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the ruling Cambodian People’s Party, while receiving H.E. To Lam, also a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), at the January 7 Palace in Phnom Penh this morning.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen, current President of the Supreme Privy Council to His Majesty the King, expressed his congratulations to the Vietnamese minister on receiving a high decoration from His Majesty the King of Cambodia.

The CPP president also extended best wishes to the top leaders of Vietnam, including H.E. Nguyen Phu Trong, CPV General Secretary, H.E. President Vu Van Thuong, and H.E. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, on the occasion of the forthcoming Vietnamese New Year.

For his part, H.E. To Lam confirmed the full support of CPV and Vietnamese people to the leadership of the Cambodian People's Party headed by Samdech Techo Hun Sen and to the new Royal Government of Cambodia with Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet as Prime Minister.

He wished the CPP success in the upcoming senate election as well as the capital, provincial, city, district and Khan council election.

The Vietnamese public security minister also praised the cooperation in all fields between the two parties and stressed that the relationship between both neighbouring nations in the security sector is a strong pillar that needs to be further strengthened and expanded for the benefit of the two countries and peoples.

Besides, both sides agreed not to allow any enemy forces to use their territory to oppose Vietnam or Cambodia.
