Iran Interested in Cambodia's Transport and Logistics Development Vision

Phnom Penh, January 18, 2024 --

The Islamic Republic of Iran is interested in the vision of transport and logistics development of Cambodia.

The impression was highlighted by H.E. Ali Akbar Nazari, Iranian Ambassador to Cambodia, during his meeting with H.E. Peng Ponea, Minister of Public Works and Transport in Phnom Penh, on Jan. 16.

H.E. Peng Ponea appreciated the interest and looked forward to a cooperation project with Iran in the future.

The minister shared with his guest the priorities and aspirations of the 7th mandate of the Royal Government of Cambodia and key highlights of the ministry's Comprehensive Intermodal Transport and Logistics Master Plan (CIT-MP) 2023-2033.

The master plan consists of 174 projects with a total investment of about US$36.6 billion, he added.
