Cambodian PM Reaffirms His Participation in ASEAN-Japan Commemorative Summit Next Month

Phnom Penh, November 22, 2023 --

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet this morning confirmed his attendance in the ASEAN-Japan Commemorative Summit in Japan in December.

The confirmation was made in his public speech at the inauguration ceremony of 246.15-kilometre-long portion of National Road No. 5 from Prek Kdam in Kandal province to Battambang provincial city, held in Kampong Chhnang province.

“During my visit to Japan for the ASEAN-Japan Commemorative Summit in December, I look forward to bilateral talks to strengthen bilateral cooperation within the framework of comprehensive strategic partnership,” he underlined.

The ASEAN-Japan Commemorative Summit is expected to be held from Dec. 16-18 in Tokyo to mark the 50th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation. This summit will set out a new vision to strengthen the relationship between ASEAN and Japan.
