Cambodian NA Encourages Economic Cooperation and People-to-People Connectivity with China’s Liaoning Province

Phnom Penh, October 23, 2023 --

Cambodian National Assembly (NA) has encouraged the economic, trade and cultural cooperation and people-to-people connectivity between Cambodia and Liaoning, a northeastern Chinese province.

H.E. Vong Sauth, Second NA Vice President, made the encouragement during a courtesy meeting with visiting H.E. Wang Mingyu, Vice Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference of Liaoning Province, at the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra this morning.

On the occasion, H.E. Vong Saut laid stress on the good relations and cooperation between both countries’ legislative bodies and expressed the Cambodian NA’s support for the two governments for having recently signed a number of agreements that will bring benefits to the people of both countries.

H.E. Wang Mingyu briefed H.E. Vong Sauth on the development of Liaoning, a potential province of China, especially in terms of industry, agriculture, technology and education. He also pledged to do his best to promote the economic, trade, tourism and cultural cooperation between Liaoning and Cambodia, particularly to strengthen the sister city alliance between Liaoning and Preah Sihanouk province of Cambodia.

H.E. Vong Sauth praised Liaoning for its progress in all fields and supported the sister city alliance between the two provinces for the mutual interest of the two countries and peoples.
