Phnom Penh, May 29, 2024 --

Cambodia and China consistently concluded that their joint 14-day drills, the 6th Golden Dragon military exercise 2024, in the former have reached a new height.

The evaluation was highlighted in a meeting between Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) H.E. General Vong Pisen and Admiral Gao Xiucheng of the Chinese military’s Southern Theatre Command on May 27.

Admiral Gao Xiucheng thanked Cambodia as well as the RCAF for their friendly coordination with all participating Chinese military personnel, resulting in a productively record-breaking outcome.

Under the strategic leadership of the two countries' leaders, the China-Cambodia Community of Common Destiny has paved ways for intimate cooperation in all sectors, including politics, development, and the humanities, he added.

H.E. General Vong Pisen thanked the Chinese People's Liberation Army for its support and cooperation, which resulted in fruitful military drills.

He encouraged the two militaries to continue the good cooperation, mutual learning, and experience sharing.

The two high-level military officials shared the same optimism about more successful joint drills in the years to come.
