Ministry, Korean Development Partners Discuss Project Cooperation

Phnom Penh, March 19, 2024 --

The Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology has received the President of the Korea Water Resources Development Corporation (K-Water) and Chairman of the ASIA Water Council (AWC) to discuss project implementation cooperation in Cambodia.

The minister, H.E. Thor Chetha, met his Korean guest Mr. Seog-dae Yun and his team for the discussion on Mar. 18 at the ministry office.

He appreciated Mr. Seog-dae Yun as well as K-Water and AWC for contributing to the development of Cambodia's water resources and meteorology.

Mr. Seog-dae Yun thanked the minister for his insights and support for the projects supported by K-Water and AWC in Cambodia and invited the minister to attend the upcoming World Water Forum in May in Bali, Indonesia.

Since 1999, the ministry, in cooperation with K-Water and AWC, has implemented various projects along the Mekong Delta and in provinces, including Kampong Speu, Kampong Chhnang, and Battambang.
