Thai Airways plans to increase the number of flights to meet travel needs during its upcoming New Year celebrations.

According to Sarun Benjanirat, deputy director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), 104 additional flights have been scheduled for the festival. Airfare discounts for all domestic flights will also be offered.

Flights are scheduled to operate at major airports across the country, including Phuket, Chiang Mai, Samui, Ubon Ratchathani, Udon Thani and Khon Kaen. Because these extra flights will operate outside of regular hours, whether late at night or early in the morning, the airline will offer airfare at a discounted rate of up to 20% below the regular rate.
