Cambodian PM To Attend ASEAN-Australia Special Summit In Melbourne

Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, will lead a high-level delegation to the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN-Australia Dialogue Relations in Melbourne on Mar. 4-6, 2024.
In a press release issued this morning, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said that the Premier’s participation will be made at the invitation of the Honourable Anthony Albanese, Prime Minister of Australia.
Accompanying Samdech Thipadei and First Lady Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet will be H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice-Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sport, H.E. Sok Chenda Sophea, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation along with key government officials.
The Special Summit is an opportune moment for Leaders to chart future directions together and further deepen relations through full and effective implementation of key priorities under the ASEAN-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, said the press release, underlining that leaders are scheduled to adopt the Melbourne Declaration and the ASEAN-Australia Leaders' Vision Statement.
On the sidelines of the Summit, the source added, Samdech Thipadei will have bilateral talks with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and several ASEAN Leaders to further strengthen bilateral relations.
