Cambodia, UAE Optimistic About CEPA's Potential

Cambodia and the United Arab Emirates are optimistic about the prospect potential of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
The optimism was unveiled by H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce and H.E. Dr. bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister for Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the "Fortune Global Forum 2023" and the session on "Tectonic Shifts: Globalisation and the Future Trade" at Abu Dhabi in UAE on Nov. 29.
On the occasion, H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul mentioned about the progress and opportunities of trade between Cambodia and UAE and the importance of regional and global trade integration, especially the need to connect ASEAN and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which will play key role in sustainable economic development in supply chain participation as well as innovation.
Both sides also noted the concerted roles of developed and developing countries in promoting cooperation across sectors such as digital sector, environment, competition, youth capacity development, and adaptation to the rapidly changing technology revolution.
