Phnom Penh, November 15, 2023 --

Cambodia and Vietnam have spoken highly of bilateral military cooperation, especially the blossoming relationship between the Ministries of National Defence.

The appreciation was exchanged in a recent meeting between Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence H.E. Gen. Tea Seiha and H.E. Phan Văn Giang, Minister of National Defence of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Vietnam.

H.E. Phan Văn Giang welcomed the visit of H.E. Gen. Tea Seiha and shared with him the evolving situation both in Vietnam, the region, and the world.

H.E. Gen. Tea Seiha thanked H.E. Phan Văn Giang for the warm hospitality and considered the visit another step to further boost the friendship, solidarity, and cooperation between the two armed forces, peoples, and governments.

Both sides agreed to exchange visits at different levels and to promote human resources development through training exchange.

They were also committed to strengthening cooperation on security maintenance and prevention of transnational crimes along the border areas of the two neighbouring countries.

H.E. Gen. Tea Seiha paid a three-day official visit to Vietnam on Nov. 12-14 at the invitation of Vietnamese National Defence Minister H.E. Phan Văn Giang.
