Phnom Penh, November 13, 2023 --

Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet has reiterated that the 7th-mandate Royal Government will neither create new taxes nor increase the existing taxes.

The Cambodian Premier made the reaffirmation at the 19th Government-Private Sector Forum (G-PSF) held at the Peace Palace on Nov. 13.

The previous mandates of government had decided to abolish a number of taxes such as slaughter tax, stamp duty, tax on means of transportation (motorcycles, tricycles, tractors and similar machinery ...), taxes on agricultural land, agricultural material import and agricultural produce, tax on real estate with a valuation of less than 100 million Riel (about US$25,000) real estate and so on, he mentioned.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet underlined that the new Royal Government will continue the exemption of the above-said taxes.
