Media Role In Reducing Alcohol Consumption

A workshop in Phnom Penh on October 17 aimed to promote media engagement in raising public awareness about the harmful impact of alcohol consumption in Cambodia.

Over 25 media practitioners from Cambodian institutions attended a workshop organized by WHO, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Information.

Addressing the workshop, H.E. Ing Phirun, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health, called on active support from the media in the public awareness-raising effort.

The Ministry of Health and WHO also highlighted strategic actions to discourage alcohol use, drunk driving, and treatment for excessive alcohol consumption.
