Cambodian PM Invited to Summit of Heads of State and Government of Group of 77+China in Cuba Next Month

Phnom Penh, August 24, 2023 --

President of Cuba H.E. Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez has invited H.E. Kitti Tesaphibal Pundit Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, to participate in the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Group of 77+China in Havana, Cuba in mid-September.

The invitation was extended to H.E. Kitti Tesaphibal Pundit in a congratulatory letter on his appointment as Prime Minister of Cambodia.

“I would like to take advantage of this letter to invite you to participate, in person, in the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Group of 77 and China on the current challenges of development: role of science, technology and innovation, to be held in Havana, on Sept. 15-16, 2023,” H.E. Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez said.

“It would be a great honour to receive you in Cuba and count on your valuable presence and active contribution at this important Summit,” he added.

The Cuban President also wished H.E. Kitti Tesaphibal Pundit Hun Manet success “in carrying out such an important responsibility”.

“You can always count on Cuba’s firm commitment to promote political dialogue to continue strengthening the close relations of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between our governments and peoples,” affirmed H.E. Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez.
