At the Closing Ceremony of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC)’ meeting to review and assess the five-year (2020-2024) work achievements of digital transformation and set forth new goals for the following years held at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel this afternoon, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet asked MPTC to prepare a master plan on 5G mobile phone service for the Kingdom.
“I’d like to request the MPTC to prepare a masterplan for the launch of 5G mobile phone service so that the Royal Government can set a suitable timeframe for the implementation of our telecommunications sector development process,” he said.
At the same time, the Premier urged all relevant ministries to cooperate and consider telephone and internet services as essential services as electricity and clean water services.
