Cambodian Senate President Pays an Official Visit to Lao PDR
Phnom Penh, February 06, 2025 --
A high-level Cambodian delegation led by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate and President of the ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP), departed here this morning to pay an official visit to the Lao People's Democratic Republic on Feb. 6-7, at the invitation of H.E. Dr. Saysomphone Phomvihane, President of the Lao National Assembly.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen is accompanied by Samdech Krolahom Sar Kheng, Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, and Samdech Kittisangahapundit Men Sam An, members of the Supreme Privy Council to His Majesty the King and Vice Presidents of CPP, as well as H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Chairman of the CPP's Foreign Relations Committee, members of the Senate and National Assembly, and key leaders of the Cambodian legislative body and the CPP.
According to a press release of the Senate General Secretariat, during his two-day stay in Lao PDR, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will have a bilateral meeting with H.E. Dr. Saysomphone Phomvihane, hold working discussions with H.E. Dr. Sonexay Siphandone, Prime Minister of Lao PDR, and co-chair with H.E. Thongloun Sisoulith, President of Lao PDR and General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP), the 15th CPP-LPRP Summit.
"The visit of Samdech Techo Hun Sen as President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia and President of the CPP, to the Lao PDR will provide new momentum in strengthening and promoting the comprehensive and long-term strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Lao PDR," underlined the press release.
