New Vice Presidents of Senate Elected
Phnom Penh, November 26, 2024 --
H.E. Ouch Borith, Second Vice President of the Senate, has been elected First Vice President of the Senate, in replacement of H.E. Prak Sokhonn who has recently resumed his post as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The election took place in the 2nd session of the 5th legislature of Senate held at the Senate Palace here on Nov. 25 under the chairmanship of its President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen with the participation of 58 senators.
At the same time, H.E. Dr. Thun Vathana was elected Second Vice President of the Senate in replacement of H.E. Ouch Borith.
Besides, the Senate announced to acknowledge H.E. Ngeth Chatdavy as new senator for first regional constituency and H.E. Yos Phanita as a member of the Senate Commission on Economy, Finance, Banking and Audit.
