Cambodia, Thailand Foster Cooperation on Peacekeeping

Cambodia and Thailand have pledged to further promote bilateral cooperation on peacekeeping and land, air, and naval forces. The pledge was made in the 7th Senior Cambodian-Thai Chief of Staff Meeting co-chaired by Gen. Ith Sarath, Joint Chief of Staff of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF), and Gen. Thitichai Tiantong, Chief of Joint Staff of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, in Phnom Penh on Aug. 3. Gen. Ith Sarath was very positive that the meeting would not only yield practical results but also further boost cooperation between the two neighbouring countries.

The two also discussed initiatives for intimate collaboration for peacekeeping within the two countries as well as the region.
