Secretary-General of ASEAN H.E. Dr. Kao Kim Hourn has reaffirmed the ASEAN Secretariat’s full support to Cambodia in assuming the ASEAN Cooperation on Civil Service Matters (ACCSM) Chairmanship for the period of 2024-2026.

H.E. Dr. Kao Kim Hourn reiterated the support in a meeting on the afternoon of Aug. 6 with H.E. Hun Many, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Civil Service, on the sidelines of the Heads of Civil Service Meeting for the 22nd ACCSM in Brunei Darussalam.

On the occasion, both sides also exchanged views on the Chair's priorities, including the post-2025 ACCSM Work Plan development and strategies to strengthen ACCSM's role in the ASEAN Community building.

H.E. Dr. Kao Kim Hourn believes that the Cambodian chairmanship of ACCSM under the leadership of H.E. Hun Many will be able to take ACCSM to the next level.

H.E. Hun Many expressed thanks to the ASEAN Secretariat for its past efforts to facilitate Cambodia's work, especially in the field of civil service, and shared the public administration reform programme of the 7th-mandate Royal Government.
